Asher GT Skype with Classical Indian Musician

Asher GT 1st - 5th spent the morning with Jayshri Prakash, a music teacher from India. She shared clips of classical Indian music and explained the instruments used and their names. She categorized 4 different types of instruments: wind, string, wood, and electronic. We also sang along with her as she instructed us in the key (pitch) to use. This is a 6 minute clip out of a 21 minute video. We appreciated Jayshri being so gracious to share her time and her talent with us. This was a unique experience for our students.
