Common Core Standards Wiki

I am including a link to a wiki I just created based on Dr. Perri Applegate's presentation, "Technology in the Common Core State Standards".  With her permission, I am referencing critical information regarding CCS that she shared with us.  I have aggressively pursued the integration of technology based instruction.  The inception of Common Core Standards reinforces the need for just that.  Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.  It is time to wake up and smell the coffee.  Our students must have access to technology which must be skillfully implemented in our day to day instructional delivery.  We must embrace the concept of nontraditional learning.  Learning isn't stationary; nor should curriculum.  The standard of living that we as Americans have enjoyed is at an unprecedented level of compromise.  There are a record 29 million on food stamps according to OETA's program, Need to Know, that aired February 17th at 8:30 p.m.  Alan Greenspan said on Meet the Press a little over a year ago that it's not the unemployment rate that has him worried is the amount of time these people have been unemployed due to their lack of skills needed for TODAY'S workforce.  The skills today's workers must be equipped with all center around being technologically literate.  Together we can do this!!
